Future Building and Resort Homes are committed to providing options to our customers for building green projects. We can do this in a variety of ways.
Below are examples of how to build green:
-At our offices in Donegal and Farrell we have dedicated space that shows customers various building green options. The Donegal office has a
demonstration of the building green process displayed by showing various “green options “which include some of the following:
-The National Home Builders Association has provided a publication for builders as a guide, which we have on site and use as appropriate
during the process and is available at the office. Click here for the table of contents of the NATIONAL GREEN BUILDING STANDARDS.
Some of the areas of construction:
-Site location / lot design
-utilize the natural setting that is indigenous to the area: such as gravel driveways, using rocks and local plants as part of the landscape as examples
-minimizing the carbon foot print of the construction materials used in the construction of the residence
-Resource Efficiencies
-Enhanced Durability and Reduced Maintenance
- Life Cycle Cost analysis
-Indoor Environment Quality
-Moisture Management
We also work with a member of LEED’s Certified Professional which can review the specifics of the future home layout and
who can also review your existing home and present a report on how to improve the efficiencies of your current residence.
